About David & Goliath

Who we are

David & Goliath is a publisher focused on making cleaner browsing easier to understand. Through cleansurfnow.com we cover ad-blocking browser extensions—the tools designed to reduce ads, pop-ups, and trackers as you move around the web—along with the extensions and features available today and the blocking presets that help people take back control of their browsing. Our aim is to translate how these browser extensions and their controls actually work into plain, practical overviews that readers can use.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: help people spend less time fighting clutter and more time reading what they came for. Cleaner browsing sits between convenience and control, and different extensions offer their features through many different settings. We explain what preset-based blocking is designed to offer, how allowlists work, and where the details matter—without the jargon or the sales pressure—so readers can decide what fits their own browsing habits.

Our values

We aim for honesty about how things work. When we describe a browser extension, we describe what it actually offers, including how allowlists and notification controls are handled. Pricing and premium options are set by the individual developers and vary by plan, and the right choice depends on your own habits and how you like to browse. We do not rely on invented statistics, exaggerated claims, or artificial urgency, and we always point back to official sources for the details that matter most.

Why choose us

We focus specifically on the practical side of cleaner browsing: finding an extension whose controls fit how you use the web, moving from a default preset to a customized allowlist, testing settings before you commit, and reducing distractions directly in your browser. Our content is written to be read once and understood, not skimmed and forgotten. When we mention a platform or a browsing habit, we explain the reasoning behind it rather than simply asserting a claim, so you can judge for yourself whether it fits your situation.
